- Exercise - even if it's just for a few minutes a day
- Sleep More - you'll be less sensitive to negative emotions
- Spend More Time with Friends and Family - social time is highly valuable for improving happiness, even for introverts
- Get Outside More - 20 minutes in good weather; 57°F is scientifically the most ideal temperature
- Help Others - 100 hours per year is the magic number
- Practice Smiling - practice "real smiles" where you use your eye sockets, and back it up with positive thoughts
- Plan a Trip - even if you don't take one, the act of planning can itself improve happiness
- Meditate - rewire your brain for happiness
- Move Closer to Work - a long commute, two times per day, five days per week can be stressful
- Practice Gratitude - be grateful, and try to share three good things that happened every day with a friend or partner
